And the seasons kept on changing

snowblind:

Before the ball drops and the clock strikes, I thought I’d review what I learned and lived in 2008.

Late Winter-Early Spring (January 2008 - March 2008)
~ There are some games a girl should never play.
~ If you crawl into the cage, don’t be surprised when you’re trapped.
~ There is a deep hunger at the bottom of addiction.
~ Death might be a gift.
~ Repetition of a trauma doesn’t give you a chance to fix it.

Late Spring-Early Summer (April 2008 - June 2008)
~ Sometimes you have to beg for a change.
~ The party always ends.
~ There aren’t enough drugs to make it stop hurting.
~ We all pretend and sometimes it protects us.
~ Real love doesn’t leave bruises.

Late Summer-Early Autumn (July 2008 - September 2008)
~ Reaching out can save your life.
~ Leave it all behind if you have to.
~ Pick the dope back up if you must; then try again.
~ My eyes were opened on August 13th.
~ Help arrives from unexpected places.

Late Fall-Early Winter (October 2008 - December 2008)
~ Sometime a person can’t live with what they’ve done.
~ Take a risk and show someone the real you.
~ Telling the truth can free you.
~ Love exists against all odds.
~ There is hope for a better year ahead.

Hey, there is ALWAYS hope for a better year ahead.  Not just a better year, just a better tomorrow.  Every new day is a chance to start again.  And the future is in our own hands.  The responsibility is not to drop it.  Wishing you all good things for 2009 my Tumblr Friend.  What an adventure lies ahead for us.  Let’s go.  Let’s jump!
