ellielovesyou: I hate this book. I can stand the movie.  I am not a big fan of old CD.  But, for me, this is probably his best book.  I’m a bit like Holden Caulfield that way - my criteria for liking a book is often “would I like to ring one of the characters up”.  I’d like to ring Miss Haversham up.  Give her a verbal kick up the behind and tell her “the guy left you!  Get over it!”  You can tell she is loopy - all that cake and she never ate it.
